Zenith Black Walnut Coffee Table

This turned out to be one of my favorite tables to build. 

All of the learnings from my previous builds culminated in this piece, allowing it to achieve a level of workmanship quality that is unmatched in my portfolio.

This table will become the centerpiece of your living space. At 48"x27"x18", it will command attention without overwhelming your space. Crafted from Oregon Black Walnut, both the heartwood and sapwood play a leading role in this piece. 

The unique double decker design showcases the value of refined wood joinery. You won't find a single screw on these joints. Each has been secured using a combination of traditional techniques.  

Two types of finishes were used on this piece. A hard wax oil provides a balance of durability and luxury aesthetic. This finish type consists of a combination of oils & waxes, which once cured, bond tightly to the wood fibers after having penetrated deep into the woods surface. In addition to this finish, several coats of a nano-polymer ceramic top coat are applied. This provides the ultimate level of protection, while not sacrificing the wood's naturally elegant appearance.
